CSB-BAL® Plastic Spherical Bearing

Date:2015-02-06 17:11:20      Hits:3003

CSB-BAL® plastic spherical bearing is a sliding bearing with special structure. Its structure is simpler than the rolling bearing, which is mainly composed of an inner ring with an outer spherical surface and an outer ring with an inner spherical surface.

Features of spherical plain bearings:

CSB-BAL® plastic spherical bearing can withstand large loads. According to its different types and structures, it can bear radial load, axial load or combined load of radial and axial. Spherical bearings are generally used for low-speed swing movements(angular movements). Since the sliding surface is a spherical surface, it can also be tilted within a certain angle range (that is self-aligning movement. And it can still work normally when the support shaft and the shaft shell hole have different centers. Self-lubricating spherical bearings are mostly used in water conservancy engineering and professional machinery industries, etc.

Application of spherical bearing:

Spherical plain bearings are widely used in engineering hydraulic cylinders, forging machine tools, engineering machinery, automation equipment, automotive shock absorbers, water conservancy machinery and other industries. Spherical plain bearings are spherical sliding bearings. The basic type consists of inner and outer rings with spherical contact surfaces. It can withstand radial loads, axial loads, or combined loads of radial and axial based on its structure. The spherical sliding contact surface of the spherical plain bearing is large and the angle of inclination is large. Meaning while, most spherical plain bearings adopt special processing methods, such as surface phosphating, zinc plating, chrome plating or inner padding or coating on the outer sliding surface, etc. Therefore, the load capacity and impact resistance of spherical bearings is greater along with features of corrosion resistance, wear resistance, self-aligning and self-lubrication. Spherical plain bearings are widely used in low-speed swinging motions, tilting motions and rotating motions. They can work normally even if they are installed not 100% correctly.
