CSB has released more than 50 types of CSB-EPB® plastic plain bearings materials. Actually there are nearly one hundred of engineering plastic materials in total if counting the materials in the test that have not been released. Each material developed by CSB material engineers is based on the actual needs of customers by taking advantages of CSB's decades of polymer wear-resistant material development experience. All the materials have passed a large number of tests. Each material has undergone nearly a hundred different tests in the CSB laboratory before reaching the customer.
Among so many CSB-EPB® plastic plain bearings materials, EPB is the most versatile bearing material. It can be used in general operating situations and the service life of EPB bearings is long. EPB3 is a high-strength and wear-resistant bearing material; EPB4 is a bearing material that is resistant to high temperatures of 200 degrees and has strong chemical resistance; EPB5 is a high-performance material that can withstand temperatures up to 250 degrees, however, it is not good value in use at room temperature; EPB7, EPB13, EPB15 are developed as materials with high wear resistance and long life. EPB13 is the standard material for plastic linear bearing liner. EPB15 is used in escalator slewing chains, the average continuous operation of the EPB15 bearings in dust is 12-16 hours per day, and the service life is very long. The escalator using the EPB15 bearings is still running properly.
Of course, there are materials with special properties in the CSB-EPB® plastic plain bearings materials. These special materials can only play their role under specific working conditions, and are not suitable for normal applications; for example, EPB9 conductive plastic bearings are specially designed for anti-static operation under dry friction; while EPB20 is also static resistant, actually it is applied in rotates underwater at high speed; EPB24 is an oil bearing material specially developed for automotive fuel systems, which is not suitable for dry friction operation.
Among so many high-performance materials, CSB has also developed a large number of materials with in low cost to meet the market demand, such as EPBH, EPB2D, EPB3G, etc., which is suitable for long-term static load or intermittent low-speed movement.
