DURAMOV® standard plastic cable chains are modular dynamic cable protection products developed by CSB. Made of high-strength modified wear-resistant engineering plastics, they accommodate various motion types and travel lengths to guide and protect power cables, encoder cables, fieldbus cables, optical cables, air hoses, oil hoses and water hoses.
The comprehensive product portfolio includes: C01 micro integral type, C11 quick-fill micro type, C21/C31 openable micro types, C02 general-duty type, C03 heavy-duty type, C03H ultra-high-strength type, and C04/C06 low-noise cleanroom series. Dimensions cover inner heights of 5–80 mm and inner widths of 5–600 mm, enabling product selection for applications ranging from compact installation spaces of small machinery to heavy-load long-travel working conditions.
The modular link structure allows fast assembly, disassembly and maintenance. Its short-pitch design reduces operating noise and withstands high-speed, high-acceleration reciprocating motion. A dedicated cable chain selection tool is available on the platform; users can input cable parameters to complete simulation verification and model selection. When used together with FLEXMOV® high-flex cables, it greatly extends the service life of the complete cable routing system and reduces cable conductor breakage failures.
Compared with ordinary plastic cable chains available on the market, DURAMOV® delivers differentiated advantages in material, structure and selection system. Conventional cable chains are mostly manufactured from recycled generic nylon with limited fatigue resistance and wear resistance; chain links tend to crack and deform after high-speed reciprocation. They offer limited structural variants, lacking inner & outer dual-opening, low-noise and wide heavy-duty options. Selection mostly relies on manual experience, which often results in under-sized models or sagging over unsupported spans.
All DURAMOV® products adopt virgin modified engineering plastic base material for superior bending fatigue resistance. A wide range of configurations are available, including closed integral, single-side opening, inner & outer dual-opening, low-noise, heavy-duty, ultra-wide and heavy-load designs, covering compact micro installations and long-span heavy-load applications. The online selection system is built upon lab test databases to enable parametric verification and prevent selection errors. Two special variants, ESD anti-static and FR flame-retardant, can be derived from the same platform. This single-platform capability supporting standard, fire-resistant and ESD-sensitive working conditions is rarely achievable with ordinary cable chains.
Installation and maintenance specifications must be followed during field deployment of DURAMOV® standard plastic cable chains to protect the service life of both cable chains and cables. When loading cables, reserve a clearance of 10% of the cable diameter between cables and 20% for hoses; avoid overfilling. Use separators to separate high-voltage and low-voltage cables as well as hoses of different materials. Arrange cables for balanced weight distribution: place heavy hoses/cables on the outer side and lighter cables on the inner side. Strain relief components must be fitted at both ends of the cables; the cable chain shall not bear tensile loads from the cables.
The selected bend radius must exceed the cable’s minimum permissible bend radius. For long unsupported spans, prioritize C03/C03H heavy-duty series. Run full-travel test cycles before formal operation to check for jamming or abnormal noise. Periodically inspect link wear and clip locking status; replace cracked or heavily worn links promptly. Pairing with FLEXMOV high-flex cable chain cables is recommended to prevent premature failure of standard cables under repeated bending.
DURAMOV® standard plastic cable chains fit most industrial automation scenarios. C01 and C31 micro series are widely used in precision manipulators, small inspection equipment and 3C automation machines. C02 general-duty type is extensively applied to CNC machine tools, injection molding machines and logistics sorting lines. C03 and C03H heavy-duty models serve long-travel cable routing for robot 7th axes, automated warehousing and large gantry equipment. The C06 low-noise variant is suitable for cleanrooms and laboratory precision instruments to reduce operating noise.
For 24/7 continuous-cycle automated production lines, the product restricts cable movement paths to prevent cable pulling, tangling and abrasion, lowering the risk of machine downtime. It is a core cable protection component for high-end domestic automated equipment.
